Frequently Asked Questions about the COPCC
The Checklist of Occupational Performance Components in Children (COPCC) is a non-standardized assessment tool that can be used by Occupational Therapists with children aged 3 to 6 years.
It allows for informal assessment of all of the components contained in the model, including sensory, motor, cognitive-perceptual, affective and motivation components.
A kit containing all of the materials and toys needed to administer the COPCC to children.
One advantage of the COPCC above other paper-based assessments is the inclusion of test items on a three-dimensional level for which the kit is essential.
The kit is packaged in a durable bag with handles for easy carrying – ideal to take with you wherever you need to perform assessments.
The COPCC Assessment Kit is available in South Africa only.
In the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic, occupational therapists around the world need to deliver services to clients via telehealth. Since the COPCC is not a standardized instrument, it is well-suited for adaptation for online administration.
For the COPCC Telehealth Version we have substituted the physical COPCC kit with a combination of digital resources, including checklists of items that parents/caregivers can collect at home, printable resources for items the child may not have at home, slide decks containing more than 100 slides in total that can be shared via video-conferencing facilities, as well as on-screen administration friendly versions of the COPCC forms and the updated Sensory Processing and Modulation Checklist.
All the documents are licensed to the therapist or the practice. The COPCC Telehealth Version is only for sale to registered occupational therapists.
PLEASE NOTE: The COPCC Telehealth Version does NOT include the physical COPCC kit.
